Over the years, I've significantly increased the book-carrying capacity of a variety of small NY apartments; here are images of creative bookcases I've built for myself, wife, and friends. Enjoy!
LASKY: This bookcase, made of plumber's pipe and banded maple ply, has the advantage of climbing floor-to-ceiling in a room of any height, is minimally invasive to walls, and can be taken apart and reassembled upon moving. Edison bulbs on a dimmer, wired through the piping, add warmth and light to a book collection.
